It's impressive how distant we are from any other celestial body in our galaxy. But I wouldn't travel 1,200km by car. You took too long to accomplish that. A flight is best suited for it, it takes just 2h. So, maybe the distance might seem uncomfortable because we haven't discovered yet a fast way to move between star systems. But we might face a different scenario in the next hundred years.

For those wondering how long it will take to get to our nearest star with modern propulsion technology. It will take approximately 120,000 years to get to proxima which is a binary star system.
